Here, you can witness a huge variety of marine-life, from tropical reef fish such as triggerfish, butterfly and angelfish to moray eels, stingrays, sea snakes and turtles. Diving in Koh Tao you may even see whale sharks and eagle rays.
Thai marine authorities are extremely active in trying to preserve these natural wonders. • All boats must be spotlessly clean and maintained to a very high standard • No rubbishis to be thrown overboard • The feeding of fish and other marine creatures isforbidden • The maximum depth for dives in the marine parks is 40 metres • No-one is permitted more than three dives per day
There are 26 marine parks in Thailand, 16 in the Andaman sea and 10 in the Gulf of Thailand. Over 50% of Thailand’s coral reefs are in the marine parks.
