Calm Before the Storm

Christmas Day at around 6.30 pm, the local weather forecast was for a storm that had the potential to interrupt, if not stop, all the Full Moon Party speedboat transport from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan.

So, I went Plai Laem and Banrak, in the north-eastern corner of Koh Samui, to have a look at the sea for myself.

While I was there, the sea was like a mirror, however, the weather forecast proved to be correct, so what I witnessed here can certainly be described as the “Calm Before the Storm”.
