His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, 1927-2016, also known as Rama IX, reigned for 70 years, from 9 June 1946 until the 13th of October, 2016, making him one of the longest serving monarchs in human history and the longest in Thai history. He was revered by his people and admired throughout the world for his grace, dignity and humility and especially for his steadfast dedication to his country and people.

His Majesty had many talents. He was a gifted musician, a world class sailor and he was known for always having his camera with him.

Over the years, His Majesty used a variety of camera’s. This camera was his favourite.
